Elizabeth Gyang, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a compassionate Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing thoughtful, evidence-based, and patient-centered mental health care. With extensive experience in psychiatric nursing, acute care, crisis stabilization, and behavioral health, she brings a comprehensive and holistic approach to supporting individuals through their mental health journey.
Elizabeth has experience caring for individuals with complex psychiatric and behavioral health needs, including severe mental illness, mood disorders, psychosis, co-occurring substance use disorders, and crisis-related concerns. Her clinical approach incorporates thorough psychiatric assessment, suicide-risk evaluation, medication management, treatment planning, and trauma-informed care.
She believes that effective mental health care begins with listening, understanding each person's unique experiences, and creating a safe and respectful environment where patients feel heard and supported. Elizabeth works collaboratively with patients and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized treatment plans focused on improving emotional well-being, stability, functioning, and quality of life.
Elizabeth holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), with a focus on leadership, quality improvement, and improving suicide-risk screening practices. Her extensive nursing career includes psychiatric, behavioral health, acute care, and post-acute care experience across multiple healthcare settings.
As a board-certified PMHNP, Elizabeth is committed to continuing her professional growth and staying current with evidence-based psychiatric practices. Her goal is to provide compassionate, accessible, and personalized mental health care while empowering each patient to take an active role in their health and well-being.
